Copper

  • Copper is a component in numerous enzymes, many of which serve an essential purpose for the plant.
  • The importance of copper in the plant is related to reproductive processes.
  • “A few grams of copper” can often boost the production potential of many crops by hundreds of kilograms.
  • As a rule of thumb, soils with higher humus content experience a greater Cu deficiency.

Copper fertilisation can be seen to have the most pronounced effect on:

  • cereals,
  • vegetables,
  • fruit trees,
  • legumes.
